I can’t believe we have a 6 year old! My baby is growing up way too fast! This year’s birthday was UNDER THE SEA. I had so much fun planning all the details from decorations, to food & balloons. Kamden was turtley surprised (no pun intended) to see how everything came together.

Here are some unique under the sea party ideas you might want to try for your kids’ next birthday bash:

Mimic swimming creatures with paper lanterns.
Use a backdrop for your centerpiece.
Throw the ultimate pool party.
Get creative with shark gummies and Swedish Fish.
Step through kelp forests.
Turn your cupcakes into a school of fish.
Pose with a mermaid in a photo booth.

We added the large balloon garland, birthday sign, and balloon mosaic at the front of the room. It made for a great back drop for photos & it was also where Kamden opened all of this birthday gifts.

I added a fun blue fringe back drop with foil sea animal balloons in a net above the food table.

Birthday party food included: turtle eggs (grapes), crab legs (carrotts), gold fish (gold fish crackers), driftwood (preztel sticks), sea shells (chips), and ocean water (water).

So are you planning a sea theme for a party? It could be a beach party, it could be a mermaid party, or it could be a sea animals party. It doesn’t matter what your child likes, it is easy to use the under the sea theme elements for many other parties too. Think fish, crabs, starfish, seashells, fish nets, blue sea and sand. Sand castles, boats and fishing.

On his next birthday, he wants an outdoor-themed party so we’re already looking into jumper rentals and Current Event Rentals for that! We plant to rent out some Retractable auditorium seating so our guests would be more comfortable.

Last year Kamden did a train themed birthday party. If you have a son, or daughter that love trains, definitely check it out.
