If you think you can’t pull off wearing a midi dress because you are short, think again. I thought the same thing (since I am 5’3) when I saw this dress, but it was a whole different ball game when I put it on; it lies perfectly below the knees which is how it should look. My favorite things about this dress are the print and the colors. The bright fuchsia color says “its still Summer” and the maroon color says “I’m ready for Fall.” The color combo is the perfect pairing. For size reference I am wearing an XS and it’s less than $37.

Can we take a moment and talk about this maroon bag?! I received it in the mail last week and I am obsessed! I am going to be wearing this bag all fall long and I’m not complaining about it. It comes in multiple colors and it’s only $225!

I was so excited to shoot this look because it’s my first pre-fall look I have put together. I don’t want to get too far ahead into wearing fall items, because I’m just not ready to let go of Summer. But, I told myself that when September hits, it’s go time with the fall clothing.

    I’m 5’2″ and have such a problem with all the great summer maxi dresses — waaaaaaay too long! This length is perfect — need to get myself to Old Navy 😉 Great styling for this outfit!

    I’m 5’3″ also and would have never though to wear a midi dress with booties. I’m always afraid they’d cut me off. You’ve done a great job of pairing your footwear with a swinging A-Line midi dress. It’s less constricting and gives more opportunity for visual height.
