I’ll be honest, I didn’t embrae my bump with my first pregnancy. It took me a while to realize that not loving pregnancy didn’t mean I loved my baby any less. My connection with Kamden was so strong the moment I held him, even though I didn’t feel that deep connection to pregnancy itself.
After a loss, and trying for some time to conceive, it reminded me of how truly miraculous pregnancy really is, and what a woman’s body is capable of doing. I’m proud of myself for how far I’ve come in terms of celebrating the beauty of being pregnant and embracing everything that comes with it.
To all the mamas going through their second (or third, or fourth!) pregnancies, I see you. We’re in this together, embracing the beauty and challenges of motherhood once again, with a heart that’s a little fuller, and a mind that’s a little wiser.
If you are on the fence, about taking maternity photos, I highly recommend you do them. These studio photos were taken by the very talented Yulia Kallestinova Photography. She made me feel comfortable and beautiful in every way. If you are thinking about booking a studio shoot, contact Yulia.
If your needing inspiration ideas for your upcoming maternity photoshoot, check out my gallery below. I also shared links to both of the dresses I wore.
I also did beach maternity photos at 27 weeks pregnant. View those photos here.
