I hope you all had a great weekend! I took a break from shooting outfits for the blog due to the very cold temperatures here in Iowa (I’m talking -18 degrees), but I am glad the weather has warmed up so I was able to shoot some outfits for ya’ll! Has the weather been really cold where you live?

This teal velvet crew neck sweatshirt from American Eagle was the last look we shot for the blog on Saturday. It’s seriously the softest material ever – I wish you could feel it. The velvet sleeves add an unexpected twist to the teal sweatshirt and help keep your arms extra warm. I went up a size for a more relaxed and over-sized fit. It’s under $35 and also comes in blush and dark gray.

We shot this look at our local coffee shop called Brickhouse Coffee Co. This is the first coffee shop that we have had in our small town (a little over 3,000 people) in a few years so we were all excited when we finally had a place to get coffee in the morning before work/school. It’s such a cute little space and I love how rustic, simple and inviting the environment is.
