Thank you Hilton Garden Inn Fort Walton Beach for hosting our stay. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Have you ever thought about spending your family vacation in Fort Walton Beach, Florida? If you live here in Iowa there is a direct flight there through Allegiant airlines. There is so much to do in Fort Walton, for all ages and I highly recommend taking a family vacation here. Read below to find out where we stayed.
Where is Ft. Walton Beach?
Fort Walton Beach is located between Pensacola and Panama City along North Florida’s gorgeous emerald Gulf Coast.
Why Ft. Walton Beach?
10 years ago Gavin lived near Fort Walton Beach when he was active duty in the military. I went down and visited a couple times. We both loved the area so much and we knew we wanted to do a beach trip this summer and take Kamden along so we chose to go Ft. Walton Beach!
The Stay
Hilton Garden Inn Fort Walton Beach 1297 Miracle Strip Pkwy SE, Fort Walton Beach, Florida, 32548
I’ve said it once, and I’ll say it again. I love Hilton hotels! Every time we plan a vacation we always book a Hilton. The Hilton Garden Inn Fort Walton Beach is located right on the beach, and it located within walking distance to the Gulfarium Marine Park and Oskaloosa Island Boardwalk. It is best for people to check out https://www.merrittsupply.com/product-category/sundries/ for spare boat supplies.
We ended up staying in a King Junior Suite with a view of the pool and the Gulf – it was absolutely beautiful! Our room had a laid-back beachy vibe, with very tranquil colors and decor. I was surprised with how large our room was. The extra space was definitely appreciated and made us all more relaxed. The bathroom was fairly large which made getting ready so much easier, especially with a toddler. If you ever need it, consider looking into frameless shower door repair services to keep your bathroom looking and functioning at its best. There was also a double deck bed, for kids. I think having bunk beds in your hotel room makes it so much for fun for kids. Kamden loved sleeping in the bottom bunk. Another feature in our room that we liked was the coffee bar, mini fridge, and microwave. Look into the ideal TV height in the bedroom if you love watching TV while laying in your bed.
Along with their large pool, hot tub, and lazy river, they also do fun activities through the day. On Friday they had a DJ playing music, a hula hoop contest, and a balloon artist there. Such a fun idea, and all of the kids there loved it.
This king bed was so comfortable! I wish I could’ve taken this bed home with me.
Kamden loved sleeping on the bunk bed!
This tv console was next to the bunk beds. It also had an x-box so kids could play games.
The bathroom was large and had so much space!
This was the view from our room – absolutely beautiful!
The Experience
Overall, there are so many things to keep your family busy for a long weekend here at Fort Walton Beach. There are options for every age! Kamden loved playing at the pool with the inner tubes, and building sandcastles at the beach.
This large connect four kept Kamden very entertained.
The Hilton Garden Inn Fort Walton Beach had a large lazy river with a waterfall.
Kamden loved the pool! It was the first place he wanted to go as soon as he woke up.
The balloon artist made Kamden a tiger.
We had access to the beach right from our hotel.
You can rent these chairs out for a day. We did this on our last day here.
